The Web.com Tour, one of the most important tournaments in the world of golf, will be held at the Puntacana Resort & Club between 2016 and 2018. The first tour is scheduled to take place from May 30 to June 5, 2016. The tour will be hosted by the Puntacana Group, one of the most powerful tourism groups in the region, and the Professional Golf Association of America. The tournament is part of the PGA Tour.

The first tournament will be at the “Corales Puntacana Resort & Club,” and organizers have announced the participation of 156 players with a prize pool of US$625,000.

The event will be organized by the “Sport Link,” in Bogota, Colombia. This same company organized two recent Web.com tournaments in Bogota and Cartagena, Colombia. The “Corales” Golf Course was designed by world-renowned Tom Fazio, and is situated in the Puntacana Resort & Club.
