HONG KONG (December 2015) – Celebrate the Lunar New Year with your family and friends at The Chinese Restaurant of Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui.  Head Chef Kwai-kai Lo is delighted to introduce a selection of prosperous Chinese delicacies for diners to usher in the Chinese New Year from January to February 2016.

Feast over Chef Lo's tempting recommendations with the starter of fried lobster fillet with spicy salt and assorted vegetables in sesame sauce.  This refreshing and popular treat is also known as “Prosperity Toss” and believed to bring prosperity and vigour in the New Year; chef has added a new ingredient - lobster fillet with spicy salt - to spice up the flavours!  Alternatively, do not miss the classic Cantonese New Year dish braised goose web with stuffed shrimp mousse which implies money-saving in the coming year.  Braised chicken with preserved clam sauce is another must-try, which is cooked to perfection with a tender texture, and also implies to bringwealth in the approaching year.

Luxurious traditional ingredients are part and parcel of a sumptuous Chinese New Year feast. Enjoy the mouthwatering fried oyster with lettuce and the flavoursome braised abalone, fish maw, sea cucumber and black mushrooms in oyster sauce.  Mushroom lovers may sample the braised fungus with bamboo shoots, black mushrooms and preserved bean sauce and the braised snow fungus with broccoli and crab coral.  What's more? The pan-fried lotus root cake with preserved meat is prepared to deliver the authentic taste of Cantonese cuisine.

The Chinese Restaurant combines a modern art deco design masterfully blended with the essence of a traditional 1920s tea house, serving authentic Cantonese dishes. There are two private rooms for 8 and 12 persons respectively.

Guests will be entitled to a two-hour complimentary parking for patronage of lunch and three-hour for dinner respectively at The Chinese Restaurant.
