Princess' New South America Brochure Release

Princess Cruises

With increased South America capacity in 2005-06, Princess offers more passengers than ever the opportunity to escape to the sultry and exciting destinations of Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aries and Machu Picchu.

To help plan the perfect South America vacation, Princess Cruises has issued a new 54-page brochure featuring cruise options aboard Regal Princess and full cruisetour adventures. Regal Princess' first South America season features a number of itineraries that have become passenger favorites, plus a new Brazilian Adventure sailing and a new cruisetour option in Rio.

Princess' December 2005 to April 2006 South America season includes:

Around Cape Horn -- Passengers can round the fabled Cape Horn with Regal Princess' popular Cape Horn/Strait of Magellan itinerary between Santiago and Buenos Aries, now a 13-day cruise. Sailings depart between January 29 and March 9, 2006 and include scenic cruising of Chile's dramatic fjords and a stop in the Falkland Islands in addition to the passage around the southernmost tip of the continent.

Cruisetours -- The Cape Horn itinerary can also be combined with one of three pre- or post-cruise land tours for a full 17- or 18-day land/sea vacation. Options include a new Rio de Janeiro tour, "Parks and Peaks of Rio," plus intriguing "Rio and Iguazu Falls" and "Machu Picchu Explorer" packages.

Brazilian Adventure -- Regal Princess also debuts a new Brazilian Adventure route, an 18-day voyage from Ft. Lauderdale to Rio de Janeiro, departing December 21, that calls at four additional Brazilian ports -- Belm, Fortaleza, Recife and Salvador -- as well as some of the most interesting islands in the Caribbean.

Up the Amazon -- Passengers can also choose to explore the legendary Amazon River with two sailings on a 12-day itinerary between Ft. Lauderdale and Manaus, departing April 7 and 19, 2006. The Amazon River adventure includes several stops in the Caribbean plus calls along the mighty river itself.

Andes -- The Andes Mountains and the ruins of Machu Picchu highlight a 16-day Andes/South America voyage from Santiago to Ft. Lauderdale. Passengers on this March 22, 2006 sailing will also enjoy a transit through the locks of the Panama Canal.

Antarctica -- One of the most noteworthy itineraries in Princess' Connoisseur Adventure Cruise lineup, Princess' Antarctica voyage, presents a new itinerary in 2006 aboard a new vessel. Regal Princess takes over the journey of a lifetime, which now sails from Rio de Janeiro to Santiago on January 8, 2006. The adventure includes four days of scenic cruising along the Antarctic Peninsula plus visits to popular South American ports.
