Cox & Kings is offering a saving of 150 per person on its Forts & Palaces of Rajputana tour for departures in February and March 2004. That means the 17 day / 16 night tour costs just 1475 per person for group departures on 19 February, 4 and 18 March. The price includes British Airways flights, all accommodation and private transfers.
The tour visits some of the most magnificent sights in India, such as the Taj Mahal, the Amber Fort in Jaipur, the "golden fort" of Jaisalmer, and the majestic Meherangarh Fort. Along the way guests stay in luxurious hotels, including a former residence of the Maharaja of Bikaner, a palace in Udaipur, and the Rohetgarh Fort near Jodhpur.
As well as visiting the famous sites of Rajasthan, the tour visits some of the area's lesser-known sites, such as the UNESCO world heritage site of Jaisalmer. The tour also visits the Thar Desert site of Manvar, where guests stay overnight in a tented camp amongst the sand dunes, enjoying a Rajasthani dinner and traditional music.
Hugh Fraser, Cox & Kings' India Product Manager, said "This is a comprehensive tour of Rajasthan's finest palaces, offering first class accommodation and stunning desert scenery at a very reasonable price."
