Travel Manitoba has one place available on a press trip to see the Beluga whales in Hudson Bay. Each summer, as the ice breaks up, these whales travel up major northern rivers to the warmer, shallow waters to feed and molt. The western Hudson Bay population is estimated at ~20 000 whales. Churchill, Manitoba is one of the most accessible places to see them, and visitors from around the world come here in July and August to see and hear some of the 3 000 whales that spend their summer in the Churchill River estuary. In addition to Beluga whales you might also see a Polar Bear or two as they laze around waiting for winter to return. This is aimed at national press or mainstream magazines. The trip will depart the UK on 4th August and return into the UK on the 10th August. -Ends- For further information please contact: Lee George Tel: 01778341876 Email: Manitoba@clover-george.com
