There's just one seat left on a long weekend press trip being hosted by the Kulm Hotel St Moritz (www.kulm.com) that takes place from Friday 13 to Monday 16 December 2013. It's an action-packed itinerary that includes private night skiing, ice climbing, a ride in a bobsleigh and ski yoga.
Possible story angles:
- the new £8 million Kulm Spa & the chance to be tested nutritionally & physiologically by the inhouse personal trainer JoPo, who works with a number of international sport stars
- ski-yoga: you've mastered your mountain pose on terra firma, now try it on a slippery slope while wearing skis
- the chance to be a passenger in a bobsleigh, so you can see what it's like to be a part of an Olympic sport
- the chance to preview the Kulm & St Moritz ahead of the 2014/15 winter season when the hotel will be celebrating 150 years since the arrival of its first winter guests & its role in founding the winter sports holiday
Itinerary:
We'll be leaving on the morning of Friday 13 December, returning to London on the evening of Monday 16 December. While in St Moritz, we'll be staying at the legendary Kulm Hotel St Moritz (www.kulm.com).
While at the Kulm, we'll have a chance to:
- enjoy exclusive use of Switzerland's longest illuminated night slope (4.2km); for three nights only this season, including 14 December, the slope will be open to Kulm guests only. There'll be traditional Alpine horn blowers, as well as contemporary music and cool tunes at the legendary Hossa Bar to be heard while sipping a hot chocolate or vin chaud or sampling a cheese fondue.
- try our hand at ice climbing or ski yoga, the latest craze to hit the Alps
- grab a ride in a bobsleigh steered by a pro while it reaches speeds of up to 90mph on its way down the Olympic Bob Run... a great way to preview what will be happening in Sochi during the XXII Olympic Winter Games in February 2014
- soak up the stunning panoramic views of the Alps from the Kulm Spa's outdoor pool, with its bubbling beds and massage jets; the Kulm Spa opened less than a year ago, following an £8-million refurbishment that turned it into a destination spa in its own right.
