Luxury lodge resort The Sherwood Hideaway (http://www.sherwoodhideaway.com/) has teamed up with one of the UK's leading wildlife photographers to create a birds-of-prey photography short break in Sherwood Forest. We have a limited number of places available on our press weekend (23-26 June) to launch this new activity.
Participants will join award-winning photographer Heather Burns on a woodland walk through the forest, learning how to capture magnificent shots of hawks, falcons and owls as they swoop through the tree-tops under the guidance of master falconer Simon Stacey.
The Sherwood Hideaway's wildlife photography weekends launch to the public in October, so this is a first chance to take part in this exciting activity.
The invite includes:
- Luxury lodge accommodation for three nights from Friday, 23 June. You can bring family or friends - there are one, two and three bedroom lodges available, sleeping up to six.
- One place on the photography walk on Saturday (24 June). The session runs for five hours. There are only eight places available on the course so they will be allocated to journalists for review purposes.
- The rest of the weekend is your own to explore the local area or practice your new photography skills. We can provide lots of ideas on places to visit.
You'll need to bring your own camera to take part in the course, and suitable clothing for a woodland walk. The Sherwood Hideaway is a self-catering resort.
Numbers are limited, so if you are interested in taking part in the launch weekend, please do let me know.
