Log House Holidays: Luxury Log Cabins On A Cotswolds Lake 13 May 2013
Press Trip Invitation: Finnish Seclusion On A Private Cotswolds Lake

Log House Holidays

Log House Holidays is a collection of seven individually-styled log houses set on the shoreline of a private Cotswold lake just 90 minutes from London, each with its own lakeside hot tub, rowing boat and uninterrupted views across the 100-acre lake (www.loghouseholidays.co.uk).

We are offering press trips to journalists with a national newspaper commission.

Dates available:
there are seven log houses so we can only offer press trips on a late availability basis. Current dates available are:

  • Four nights from Monday 20 May

-          If you are interested in a press trip but cannot make this date please do contact me to register your interest for future opportunities.

What’s new:
we’ve launched personal spa services so guests can now book beauty and massage treatments without having to leave the comfort of their getaway. A two-hour treatment session is included with your stay.

What activities are available:
lakeside activities include fishing and wildlife spotting, boating and swimming in the lake. There is also a private, landscaped two-mile walk along the lakeside and through woodlands.

The log houses are set in the beautiful Cotswold Water Park so there are many walks and cycle tracks to explore, including a route to the source of the Thames which literally bubbles from the ground a few miles from our site.

Historic towns including Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Tetbury and Cirencester are nearby.

What makes us different:
there is no other site such as this in the Cotswolds. The log cabins are truly secluded, with each nestled away in its own space on our 130-acre site.

We are environmentally friendly:

  • all of our log houses are built from sustainable woodlands
  • a large solar tracking system is hidden in our reed beds and provides nearly all of the electricity used on site
  • water and under floor heating is heated from a ground source heat pump which takes energy from the lake
  • firewood for our clear view wood-burners is harvested from our own sustainable plantation
  • our setting is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), awarded for our unique habitat and wildlife

What’s included with your stay: we’ll provide accommodation for up to six people in one of our log houses. Your hot tub, rowing boat, and linen are included. Fishing is also included. All stays are self-catered, so you’ll need to bring your own supplies.
