Join us on a magical exploration of one of Greece’s true remaining secrets.
Nestled in the Aegean Sea 37 miles outside Athens, Kea is the undiscovered island paradise blessed with all the unmistakeable charm, natural beauty and much loved characteristics for which many Greek islands are famed throughout the world.
During a four day trip you will visit secret sandy beaches, swim in crystal waters, cruise out to sea and catch fish to bake in traditional Greek ovens. Explore the island’s cobbled towns and in the evening join locals for a glass of Greek wine, a story or two and a traditional song and dance. For the adventurous there will be the chance to hike the island’s rugged interior through pine forests and along clifftop paths to ruins of an ancient and once majestic civilisation. There may even be the opportunity for some diving, and the waters around the island are home to several giant shipwrecks, including the largest diveable wreck in the world.
Provisional dates for the trip are the last week of May or first week of June. To register interest please contact Alexandros Konstantinou at media@gnto.co.uk. Writers with commissions from national newspapers will be preferred.
