24 Feb Post breakfast tour of hotels + interviews, 30 min treatment.

25 Feb Transfer 4.5 hours to rooftop Six Senses Heritance Spa in Kandalama (two nights) in the heart of the cultural triangle.

Welcome lunch with manager. Indulge in a signature treatment like the Ayurvedic bodywork. Afternoon at leisure to explore magnificent jungle surroundings or spa facilities. (options to be supplied)

26 Feb Breakfast. Visit a new ayurvedic centre and Wellness retreat. Talk on unique centuries old health benefits from practitioner.

Lunch. spa treatment eg 90 minute healing ayurvedic massage. Group dinner with local tourism representative

27 Feb Drive past classic sights Lion Rock and Sirigiya Rock Fortress Check in Small Luxury Hotels Vil Uyana Ayurveda Spa, built over stilts.

Lunch at the restaurant overlooking the nature reserve. Sample signature treatments like massage. Stroll around the grounds/ reed beds and paddy fields. Take boat ride to spot rare birds.

28 Feb Breakfast. Interviews (therapist/,manager). Drive or mini tour of medieval city of Polonnaruwa, and Angsana Deer Park hotel, a former hunting ground of Ceyon's Royalty. Angsana Spa oozes tranquility while individual cottages with open air bathrooms are dotted around the grounds.

Lunch 'jungle style' outdoor, amidst the sounds of wildlife. Overnight at Vil Uyana.

1 Mar Breakfast and stroll grounds. Drive to ULPOTHA yoga retreat in 30 acres of organic farm for tour and lunch. Interviews. Photo opps. 6pm, depart for Colombo airport for 0330am flight to LHR. (alternative: Revisit Colombo town for last minute shopping/drinks at new funky hotels Casa Colombo or the Park Street Hotel.)
