We have one last place on a press trip to contemporary, gastronomic hotel Le Saint-James in Bordeaux, departing the morning of Thursday 26th September from London Gatwick and returning on the afternoon of Friday 27th September.
The press visit will be a relaxed opportunity to experience the wine and cuisine from the Bordeaux region, the second to none hospitality and contemporary luxury accommodation. It will also be a chance to take a class at the new onsite cookery school, Le Cote Cours.
Just a fifteen minute drive from Bordeaux, Le Saint-James is a contemporary hotel designed by Jean Nouvel in 1989 and inspired by the tobacco drying barns in the region. The hotel is situated on the sloping hills above Bordeaux in the village of Bouliac, and has an advantageous view of the city skyline and the River Garonne below. Each of the 18 bedrooms and suites in the hotel are designed with the panoramic views in mind - with beds positioned at the exact height to take in the magnificent views from your pillow.
Surrounded by seven hectares of private grounds, the hotel produces their own wines, with Sommelier Richard Bernard choosing only the finest wines to accompany the Michelin food from Nicholas Magie.
The hotel boasts an outdoor heated swimming pool overlooking the city, a traditional French bistro just a stone's throw away from the hotel for more informal dining, and an outdoor terrace decorated with citrus trees and elegant furnishings.
