Experience the history and discovery of King Richard III and the first national production of Shakespeare's play since the discovery of the King's remains

You are invited to an East Midlands' experience of King Richard III on 29 October 2013. Starting in Leicester in the morning, you can discover how the archaeological search for the lost grave of King Richard unfolded in the city at the 'Richard III: The Search for a King' exhibition at The Guildhall as well as taking in a walking tour of Ricardian Leicester with an expert Blue Badge Guide.

In the afternoon, you will visit Bosworth Battlefield where you will discover more about where King Richard fought for his life and lost his crown, find out how the Battlefield was rediscovered and see real objects from the Battle of 1485 including cannon balls and sword fragments.

In the evening, you are invited to Nottingham Playhouse to attend the press night of the first major production of Shakespeare's Richard III play since the discovery of the remains of King Richard III in Leicester in 2013.

Overnight accommodation can be arranged in Nottingham, if required. If you are interested in the press trip but are unable to attend on 29 October, bespoke itineraries for alternative dates can be arranged. Please note that the production of Richard III at Nottingham Playhouse runs until 16 November 2013.
