Hot on the heels of Banksy raising the spectre of growing visitor numbers in destination hotspots, speakers at ETOA's City Fair Conference on Tuesday 18 June at The Barbican will discuss how new technical strategies can help effectively manage growing visitor numbers in European destinations.
The conference will look at how new digital technology and data from peer-to-peer accommodation can be used to understand growing trends and give accurate assessments as to what the true capacity of a destination is.
ETOA will ask the question: Should data-sharing with public bodies be mandatory?
As well as interviewing Fernando Dal Re, of Transparent, the global leader in providing data on the short-term rental industry the conference will also ask travel industry big-hitters such as John Boulding from VOX Group how technology helps in developing new products. The sessions will conclude with a look at examples of what strategies work.
Sessions start at 10.00 am and finish at 1.00 pm on Tuesday 18 June.
