Press Conference Invitation: London Takes Centre Stage Heathrow Express Becomes The Chengdu Express For 72 Hours

Lotus

Please join representatives from the Chengdu Government, Heathrow Express and British Airways at an exclusive press conference to unveil the new Chengdu 72 Express next Wednesday, 21 May.

This is the first time Heathrow Express has collaborated with a destination to highlight the service to overseas visitors and follows British Airways' decision to increase its direct flights between Heathrow and Chengdu from three times a week to five this month.

The partnership sees the 'Chengdu 72' visa facility promoted to British travellers - the offer by Chinese authorities of 72-hour visa-free transit travel to Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province and home to 14m people.

The campaign will also be promoted in China as part of an ongoing collaboration following the Prime Minister's trade mission to Chengdu in 2013.

You are invited to join us at this special press conference at Heathrow Airport for the unveiling of the rebranded trains, before travelling back to Paddington on the new Chengdu Express. Photographs and one-to-one interviews can be arranged.

Speakers:

Ms. Li Li, Deputy Director General of Chengdu Municipal Foreign Affairs Office

Mr. Keith Greenfield, Chief Executive, Heathrow Express

Mr. Jamie Cassidy, Area General Manager for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, British Airways
