Leading travel insurer, Preferential, has been awarded one of the travel insurance industry�s top honours. The company beat strong competition to win the �Intermediary of the Year Award� at the prestigious �International Travel Insurance Journal� (ITIJ) Awards for the firm�s ongoing dedication to providing tailored insurance solutions.

Preferential last won the award in 2007. Commenting on the win, Steve Nickerson, managing director of Preferential, says, �It is an honour for Preferential to have once again been recognised for this award. Preferential was established in 1996 and is based in Dorking, Surrey. From its inception, Preferential, unlike many others, has solely specialised in travel insurance; providing innovative, tailored solutions to each customer's requirements. Preferential Insurance Services - the business to business division. Preferential Direct - the consumer division. Marketing a comprehensive portfolio of Preferential branded travel insurance products direct to specific consumer groups fulfilled via either the web or their own UK based call centre.
