Powerful PR team launch new agency

Hope Yard PR

Combining the talents of three independent communications professionals, Hope Yard PR is an ambitious new agency drawing on a wealth of experience.

Hope Yard PR offers creative PR campaigns for businesses in the travel, fashion, events, and lifestyle sectors. Based in Newquay, Cornwall, Hayley Newnham, Lucy Jenner-Brown and Samantha Kirton have come together to offer a formidable senior team with decades of industry work, exceptional contacts, and an impressive track record of achievements.

From driving the UK PR for high profile brands such as O'Neill to steering strategy for destinations including New Zealand and the Falkland Islands, Hope Yard expertise extends to generating global coverage for Cornish talent like Neon Wetsuits as well as launching international hotels and resorts, sustainable fashion brands and boutique gin distilleries.

“Each of us has moved around and worked with a huge variety of businesses, from start-ups and designer-makers through to big brands,” says Lucy. “Once we started comparing case studies it was clear that we each have a commitment to authenticity and are dedicated to achieving real results for clients. We wanted to start an agency that was less smoke and mirrors and more about empathy with clients and media, good story-telling, and delivering campaigns that connect brands with people in meaningful ways.”

“Having worked out of the same space we already had real respect for each other as well as being friends. We came to the realisation that we would have even more to offer if we combined our expertise and industry know-how,” explains Hayley.

The team met whilst working at The HoHouse creative space in Hope Yard, Newquay. “Our base is really important to the whole agency ethos,” adds Samantha. “Hope Yard is a really exciting hub for creatives, working on some amazing projects and clients: photographers, videographers, SEO experts, digital marketing specialists, web designers, and artists. There's a huge pool of talent here and we love that we can tap into this for clients as and when required. First and foremost, we're PR specialists but we can call on the team here as needed to maximise campaigns.”

Launching at a time of great uncertainty for many businesses, the Hope Yard PR team fully understands the significance of brand conversations in these unprecedented circumstances. Tuning into the evolving social values, understanding and using the media's powerful voice to tell brand stories being vital elements for recovery. “We are in constant contact with the media and their changing needs throughout the unfolding of the pandemic. Tapping into key industry resources means we are able to constantly reassess the situation and respond appropriately to the current climate for our clients,” says Lucy.

“Planning is key for growth and recovery as these new landscapes emerge, and the support of the media is a vital business tool, so we are excited to start working on those conversations with new clients now”.

Hope Yard PR launches with a new client announcement as the agency has been appointed by Millican to handle all UK press and publicity. Representing this forward-thinking eco-conscious brand to launch their new collections, Hope Yard PR will run a dedicated press office promoting the sustainable range of bags, backpacks and accessories. Inspired by the freedom of travel and with a focus on intentional living, Millican hails from the Lake District.
