Embracing the spirit of Christmas, Portugal's leading luxury lifestyle destination, Pine Cliffs Resort has announced a full programme of events for the forthcoming festive season. Between 18 December 2015 and 3 January 2016, the resort will offer a range of special activities and events to suit all ages, from cracker-making workshops and a Belle Epoque-inspired New Year's Eve dinner, to a traditional Christmas market and X-mas Village!
Family fun
Featuring a traditional Christmas market selling regional and seasonal produce and gifts and Father Christmas himself, the X-mas Village at Pine Cliffs Resort's Porto Pirata kid's club will be a must visit for all guests. Open every evening from 5.30pm to 10.30pm, entry will cost €5.00 per person per day. For guests who enjoy a crafty, creative Christmas, Pastry Chef Antonio Miranda's cracker workshops will fit the bill. The 50-minute workshops will be free to attend (prior registration is recommended).
Festive feasts
Pine Cliffs Resort's Executive Chef Osvalde Silva has created a selection of mouth-watering celebratory menus that have much more to offer than just traditional turkey. On Christmas Eve, guests can enjoy a five-course meal at O Grill. The delicious dishes on offer include a crab and crayfish starter with a courgette mousse, olive oil emulsion and a tomato and basil sorbet, and a monkfish mille-feuille with fava bean purée, red potato pearls and sweet almond milk sauce - all accompanied by live music. On Christmas Day, Chef Silva's €75 buffet lunch will have something to suit every taste, from simple omelettes to turkey with all the trimmings or Beef Wellington withfoie gras and white truffle sauce. Wine pairing options are available with both menus.
New Year's Eve and beyond
Inspired by the golden age of the famous Belle Epoque, the News Year's Eve gala dinner in the Salão Pinhal will be something special. Accompanied by a live orchestra, singers, circus performances, fireworks and entertainment for children, the fabulous five-course menu will feature the finest ingredients, from scallops to sea bass. Each table will be adorned by a traditional French croque en bouche and the Champagne will be free- flowing! The evening costs €300 per person, or €2,500 per table of 10 people. Packages including accommodation and breakfast are also available from €405.
For guests looking to ring in the New Year in a more casual style, the Piri Piri Steak House will offer a €150 menu including matching wines, a Champagne toast at midnight and an invitation to attend the fireworks. On New Year's Day, a restorative brunch will be served in O' Grill from 1-4pm for €85 per person.
Throughout the holiday season, Pine Cliffs Resort will also offer a number of special set menus for companies looking to give their employees a Christmas treat. Prices range from €45-65 per person.
Classic Collection offers a 10-day festive family holiday at Pine Cliffs Resort from a total of £4,364 for a family of four, including:
- 10 nights' accommodation in a two-bedroom Pine Cliffs Residence Suite (based on two adults and two children sharing)
