Badrutt

During this year's St. Moritz Gourmet Festival from January 26-30, 2015 Claude Bosi will reign over Badrutt's Palace Hotel's kitchen. Guests can experience the highly gifted extremist of the new Franco-British accord during the festival week with a five-course gourmet dinner in Le Restaurant. Bosi's two Michelin-starred restaurant Hibiscus ranks among the most popular gourmet hotspots for demanding Londoners. Born in Lyon he loves to experiment, and has a penchant for combining several rare ingredients with modern cooking techniques resulting in winning creations with amazing tastes. After a classic chef's training he successfully worked his way up the career ladder in Paris under master chefs Michel Rostang, Alain Passard und Alain Ducasse, who still influence his style today. Like all his other colleagues at the festival, Claude Bosi won't hold back in showing the gourmet guests his culinary talents amid sizzling pans at the season highlight, the Badrutt's Palace Hotel's Kitchen Party on January 28, 2015.

Team Badrutt's Palace Hotel is taking part this year and its players Richard Fagan (1/IRL), Max Hutchinson (3/GBR), Richard Le Poer Beresford (6/GBR) and James Harper (6/GBR) meet Team BMW in the first match on Friday January 30, 2015. It is now 150 years since the legendary bet between Johannes Badrutt and his English guests: in the winter season 2014/15 St Moritz will celebrate the pioneer who made the resort one of the most beloved destinations in the Alps – and in 1880 he opened the first ever curling rink on the European continent. That is why Badrutt's Palace Hotel is hosting the Palace on Ice event on the Saturday of the first White Turf weekend.  The ladies and gentlemen of the historical circle Victoria's Grandchildren will slip in to the roles of the guests of the time, presenting the winter fashions of the late 19th century, while taking part in a relaxed and fun curling tournament against curling enthusiasts of today on the hotel's own natural ice rink.

However, this celebratory winter season is not just about the English. The celebrations continue from February 12-14 with the two Michelin-starred guest chef Anthony Genovese of Il Pagliaccio restaurant in Rome. Just a few days later, the French master chef Edouard Loubet (two Michelin stars and Gault Millau Chef of the Year 2011) will be making an exception and leaving his Restaurant Edouard Loubet in Domaine de Capelongue and moving into the Palace kitchen from February 19-21.
