The Westbury Hotel's award-winning Polo Bar (www.westburymayfair.com) celebrates the unstoppable rise of the 'Gin Tonic', with the launch of their inaugural pop-up bar in the ever-stylish Barcelona for a week from Wednesday 26th August 2015.

As London quietens down in the summer with top chefs, mixologists and DJs all making their way to the sunshine, Polo Bar will team up with OneOcean Club (www.oneoceanclub.es) to bring a slice of Mayfair to Barcelona.

Spain has fallen in love with the juniper-based spirit, becoming the world's largest gin consumer. Barcelonians can sample the Polo Bar's renowned G&T infusions at BlueWave cocktail bar, part of the new $100m superyacht marina, OneOcean Barcelona, which has rapidly established itself as one of the city's hottest destination since its launch in Spring 2015.

With the famous Tanqueray No. TEN Gin forming the base of each cocktail, the menu of six infusions has been specially created by two of London's top mixologists: Polo Bar manager Elias Yiallouris, and Tanqueray mixologist, Tim Homewood.

Using the finest natural herbs, spices and botanicals, all hand-blended on site, the menu brings together a heady mix of delicate flavours, marrying the classic elegance of Mayfair with Barcelona's experimental palette. Celebrating the fresh Mediterranean sea air is the Blue Lady Tea & Grapefruit Peel with Mediterranean Tonic – the exotic floral and citrus notes of Blue Lady Tea are lifted with zesty Grapefruit Peel, a refreshing thirst quencher – while the Rose with Elderflower Tonic is reminiscent of an English garden on a summer's day, the delicate notes of rose are given a rich, dry edge with the addition of elderflower essence.

Perched on the waters' edge in the vibrant Barceloneta district, overlooking sleek superyachts, the Polo Bar brings a slice of Mayfair to Barcelona for the perfect place to unwind with friends while sipping the perfect 'Gin Tonic', as the sun sets over this incredible city.
