PodsAway led by the parent and Mumpreneur Jo Kerley, who succesfully bid for funding on BBC Programme Dragons Den have launched their new PodCase! a cabin sized case that is designed by the owner and fits most airline cabins with a fully removable PlayPod!
This unique luggage item is fun yet functional! remember all those trips through airport security digging out your electronic items and everything falling out? well no more! with this funky case for children that they design themselves, yet still has plenty of room for clothes!
Jo shared her journey with us, and explained how she worked with the children in the school in Ipswich in Suffolk to design what they wanted in a case for holidays and sleepovers, but also consulted parents who explained thier requirements.
Jo then went to China by herself to get the case manufatured to the standards that she required. Jo Said 'most childs cases are designed in a way that appeal visually to the child, but do not meet the practical demands of the parents', to address this Jo engaged parents and children in the overall design and testing of the product to make sure that PodsAway delivered what families require, stress free travel.
With the unique removable Pod that acts as a tray or writing desk, and securely contains Ipads, Kindles and electronic gadgets within a secure pocket you can be assured that each child or teenager has enough space to pack personal content and stay entertained on any journey or sleepover!
The PodCase has won awards both in the UK and USA for its unique design, and has been branded as the 'Trunki' for children aged 5 to 65 yeaars old!
Each case is designed by the owner with a selection of stickers and games that personalise your case, so YOUR Case - Your Way!
The PodsAway team has now grown and is looking to start supplying globally so keep your eyes open for this Mum on a mission! www.podsaway.com
