Executive Pastry Chef Anna Polyviou will host a Pink Ribbon Ruby Chocolate High Tea in support of The McGrath Foundation at Blu Bar on 36, Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney on 5 October, 2018.
Dessert devotees will delight in the high tea buffet of sweet and savoury treats Polyviou has created in the spirit of Breast Cancer Awareness month, featuring the completely new Ruby RB1 chocolate by Callebaut.
The specially designed Callebaut ruby chocolate desserts will be a star attraction at live stations, including Mrs Whippy (ruby choc tops) and Loukou-My-Anna's (candy popcorn, ruby pipets), designed in the Punk Princess of Pastry's distinctive style.
“I'm super proud to be involved in such a worthy cause, and can't wait to be MC on the day to help to raise funds for The McGrath Foundation,” said the executive pastry chef.
“My new ruby chocolate desserts are designed for the “pink” theme of the month, and I want everyone to enjoy an epic afternoon of togetherness in support of breast cancer awareness.”
Guests will take their seat and enjoy spectacular Sydney views, along with free-flowing teapot cocktails such as Pink Panther, a gin concoction topped with pink fairy floss.
Savoury morsels will include egg shots, spanakopita, pork buns, vegetarian tarts, prawn cones and chicken sandwiches, to name a few.
The Pink Ribbon Ruby Chocolate High Tea is available at Blu Bar on 36 on 5 October, 2018, from 11.30 to 2.30 pm. Tickets are priced at $125, with $50 from each ticket to be donated to The McGrath Foundation. Guests will enjoy a glass of sparkling on arrival, and free-flowing teapot cocktails. Each guest will receive an exclusive Callebaut Belgium Ruby RB1 chocolate gift box to take home. The McGrath Foundation
The McGrath Foundation funds 120 McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia, mostly in regional and rural areas where such treatment may be hard to find. While most McGrath Breast Care Nurses are in regional and rural areas, there is a growing need for nurses in urban areas. We work with local area health services to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in areas where they're needed most. www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au
