Spring is on the way and so is the Pleasure Island Art Association�s Annual Festival of Art. Don�t miss this unique event March 13-14 on the shores of Lake Shelby in the Gulf State Park. Located across from the Gulf State Park Resort Convention Center on Highway 182, the festival hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday.

Over 50 artists will use the beauty of the lake as a backdrop for oil, watercolor, acrylic, pottery, sculpture, photography, stained glass, jewelry, wood and other media. Enjoy nature�s gift as you browse for art created by the talented exhibitors.

Listen to the haunting sounds of Andean Nation as they perform music of the High Andes on traditional reed flutes. As you meander through the festival site, take a break and chill-out with a tropical smoothie, or warm up with Mexican munchies. Food, art, music and nature are treats for the soul!

Sponsors of the festival include the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau, Blalock Seafood, Gulf State Park, Sunny 105.7 FM, and Treehouse Nursery.

Free shuttle transportation to the festival site will be provided from the Gulf State Park Convention Center parking lot.
