Slovakia holiday specialist, Mountain Paradise (www.mountainparadise.co.uk 0845 602 5874), is offering two landscape photography holidays in the stunning Tatra Mountains this summer with prices starting from just 945 per person. The seven night holidays led by award-winning photographers Chris Weston (www.chrisweston.uk.com) and Chris Coe (www.chriscoe.co.uk), run on selected dates in May, June, September and October with the first course starting on 23 May. Each holiday includes: return flights from Luton or Manchester, airport transfers, accommodation on a twin full board basis in a private chalet, transport to photography locations and five days of professional photographic tuition. The holidays are designed around the seasons. The May and June courses feature spring flowers, lush green landscapes & gushing waterfalls. The September and October tours - the stunning colours of the Tatras autumn foliage and the crisp early mornings with their mist filled valleys.
Accommodation is in the luxurious and spacious Chalet 21 in the mountain resort of Velka Lomnica, with breathtaking views of the High Tatra Mountains. Budding photographers can choose from an easy or moderate walking photographic holiday each offering a great range of locations in the Tatra Mountains National Park. Both holidays are suited to photographers of all abilities whether working in digital or film, from 35mm up to large format. Photographic tuition is offered throughout the holiday, covering subjects that will include composition, exposure, focus and depth-of-field, plus learning to read the landscape. Numbers are limited to seven to ensure that each participant can receive high levels of personal tuition. Partners or friends travelling with photographers can be accommodated at a reduced rate. Mountain Paradise has thoroughly researched all the photographic locations featured in the courses including assessing the best stand-points for sunrise and sunset images - enabling participants to concentrate on photography and to put into practice the hints, tips and techniques offered by the professional photographers Slovakia is just 2-hours by air from the UK (flights from Luton or Manchester) and the short transfer to the Mountains means that photographers spend the maximum amount of time on location. Gift to the Tatra Foundation For every booking made Mountain Paradise will donate 100 to the Tatra Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation set up in conjunction with the Animals on the Edge programme of Living Earth to provide funding for conservation initiatives throughout Tatra Mountains National Park. The Foundation is closely tied to Chris Westons work with the Animals on the Edge project, details of which can be found at www.animalsontheedge.com.
