Philippe Mouchel Comes Home To Crown

Crown Limited is delighted to announce that the Grand Chef of Melbourne�s culinary scene, Philippe Mouchel, is coming home to Crown.

Philippe Mouchel will head up the opening of a new and exciting addition to the existing stable of Crown premium restaurants that includes Koko, Silks, JJs Bar & Grill, Number 8 restaurant and wine bar, Breezes, Mings and Conservatory.

The contemporary French brasserie concept will offer modern and innovative French cuisine, utilising and showcasing the quality foods Australia excels in producing, at a reasonable price and in a sleek and stylish environment. The location for the restaurant is yet to be announced.

According to Crown�s Executive General Manager Food and Beverage � Walter Wagner, the appointment of Mouchel further enhances Crown�s reputation for culinary excellence on the world stage.

�The introduction of Philippe Mouchel into the Crown fold will further enhance Crown�s international reputation as a culinary destination,� Walter says.

�Crown is already recognised on the culinary international stage through its calendar of world class food and wine events including, the Masters of Australian Food and Wine, Young Outback Chef of the Year and Bella Italia.

�In addition to this, our Crown chefs continue to be invited to participate in major international culinary events such as the World Gourmet Summit in Singapore,� Walter said.

Commenting on his move back to Melbourne and to Crown, Philippe Mouchel says, �It is my aim to provide a further quality restaurant within the Crown complex and to give the dining public of Melbourne and our international guests what they most desire�good food, served by professional and friendly staff, with a stylish and modern French inspired environment.�
