Philadelphia to host Ninth World Congress for NeuroRehabilitation, first time meeting in united states
Congress to Convene 2,000 Physicians, Speech Therapists, Physical and Occupational Therapists
Philadelphia will welcome the 9th World Congress for NeuroRehabilitation (WCNR), at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown from May 10-13, 2016. This year's theme, “From Science to Society,” will cover inspiring scientific and clinical advances in neurorehabilitation and their impact on patient outcome and integration in society. This is the first time the Congress is gathering in the United States, previous meetings were held in Australia, Turkey, Vienna and Brazil among other locations.
Philadelphia City Representative Sheila Hess, who was born with Spina Bifida, a condition that involves the incomplete development of the spinal cord, will join the ranks of internationally renowned invited speakers to deliver opening ceremony welcome remarks. Plenary speakers from around the globe will meet daily at the Pennsylvania Convention Center to address professionals involved in neurorehabilitation including physicians, psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, and more.
