SINGAPORE, MAY 2016 – Tantalise your taste buds with an unforgettable gastronomic experience as Celebrity Chef, Peter Kuruvita returns to the kitchen table with a new list of delectable recipes for the extremely successful Seafood from the Heart.

 

Catch the Sri Lanka born Australian culinary superstar live in person on 11 and 12 June 2016 from 6.00pm to 11.00pm as you feat to your heart's content and learn how you can consume seafood by using sustainable ingredients.

 

Priced at SGD68++ per person, the kitchen table features six live cooking stations, with an array of selections including the blazing Betel Leaf Mirissa Fish Salad, crisp and golden Herring served with Spanish onions, tomatoes, cucumber and Maldives fish, and the Jaffna Black Prawn Curry.

 

Other renditions include the Blackened Tuna Skewers, cooked to rare on a very hot barbecue and served on top of a sliced banana leaf and the King Prawn Kottu, served with roasted coconut, coriander cress, garlic chips and a jug of lightly frothed prawn curry sauce. Of course, there is also the Popcorn Prawn Skewers, Chef Peter's specialty.

 

Aside from seafood items, try the Spiced Tofu Salad and the Aloo Chop potato dumplings (also known as stuffed potato dumplings), served with tomato chutney on a bed of chopped lettuce.

ABOUT PETER KURUVITA

Peter Kuruvita is a well-known Australian chef who has cooked around the globe most of his life. Not only a chef, he is also a restaurateur, TV presenter, author and restaurant consultant. His greatest break-through was being the mastermind of award winning Sydney restaurant, Flying Fish. He successfully led the kitchen team for 8 years, creating modern dishes with a strong sea food focus and great reputation. In 2008 Peter took his signature style with seafood to the Pacific, opening Flying Fish Fiji in partnership with Sheraton Fiji. Peter's latest restaurant venture is found in his home town in Noosa, Australia - Noosa Beach House.

Whipping up dishes behind the closed doors of his Grandmother's traditional kitchen back in Sri Lanka has cultivated his love and passion for cooking. With his childhood being his inspiration, he launched his first cookbook “Serendip-My Sri Lankan Kitchen” and first TV series “My Sri Lanka”.
