16 Combehaven, A Lovingly Finished, Wheelchair Accessible Penthouse Apartment With Breathtaking Views Out Over Salcombe Estuary, 25 Jul 2013
Perfect Penthouse In Sunny Salcombe - New For 2013

Blue Chip Holidays

16 Combehaven, a lovingly finished, wheelchair accessible penthouse apartment with breathtaking views out over Salcombe estuary, is the latest water view escape to join Blue Chip Holidays.

Available from July, this sumptuous five star, three bedroom apartment for six, set over two upper floors, yet with street level access, can be booked from as little as £409 for three nights in off-peak periods and from £569 for a week.

Stunning elevated views from the furnished balcony provide a picture perfect location and an ideal place to sit out and relax as the sun arcs over the estuary.

Inside, no expense has been spared on the creation of a sumptuous living and dining area, lit by natural light that floods in from the large balcony.  The generous cream/buff sofa and matching armchairs provide plenty of space to sit and relax.  Here you can indulge in a book or to settle down for a blockbuster in front of the flatscreen TV.  Stylish side tables, smart lamps, a chic glass coffee table, a handsome fireplace and an elegant driftwood mirror finishes off the room in style, while the large dining table provides the perfect place to sit and eat.

Next door is the large and well equipped kitchen, which comes with a breakfast bar that looks out over the dramatic estuary.

16 Combehaven has three large and airy bedrooms.  The master en-suite, situated on the upper level, occupies the entire floor and has stunning views out over Salcombe Estuary.  Finished with attractive pictures and furnished with a king-size bed, this cosy room comes with charming bedside tables, lamps, a dressing table, designer mirror, chest of drawers, armchair and flatscreen TV.

On the lower level, and with direct accessible from the street, are the two other bedrooms.  Bedroom two is a large en-suite with twin beds that can be configured into a king-size.  Bedroom three is furnished with a double bed and has access to the family shower room, fitted with a wash basin, wc, heated towel rail, shaver point and mirror.  Both rooms are furnished with bedside tables and lamps, mirrors, integrated wardrobes and chest of drawers.

Close by is the centre of Salcombe, a vibrant, busy little town, frequented by the rich and famous, yet full of Devon charm.  Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this picture perfect waterfront town has a selection of excellent restaurants and bars to choose from as well as individual boutiques, craft shops, jewellers, galleries and gift shops that punctuate its narrow streets.

A network of ferries operate in and around the town giving easy access to many local beaches that would otherwise be challenging to reach.  Nearby, East Portlemouth beach, for example, has a great selection of picturesque coves and fine soft sands to enjoy, where you can bathe or participate in a range of water sports.  Local sailing schools mean you can quickly learn the ropes of yachting, and the popular regatta, held each August, remains a huge draw to both yacht owners and visitors, with a range of races and events to enjoy.
