Peregrine is celebrating the launch of its 2014 Arctic voyages by offering passengers up to 25% off on journeys booked before 31 July 2013. *
The range, which affords travellers the chance to journey to Spitsbergen, Greenland, Iceland, the Canadian Arctic or the North Pole, also includes three brand new itineraries.
"We're really excited to give our clients a wider range of Arctic adventures to choose from," said Ken Ismail, Peregrine's Head of Operations. "It's an incredible part of the world, and if the discount encourages more people to get out there and see it, that's all we can ask for."
The first of the brand's three new itineraries is the 16-day Greenland to Churchill, which travels into the depths of the Arctic, where polar bears and walrus live alongside traditional Inuit communities, before taking passengers to Greenland and navigating Canada's famous Northwest Passage.
The Greenland and Canada's High Arctic voyage sets off on a 13-day excursion which takes in Illulissat, a UNESCO world heritage site glacier, as well as Beechy Island - the landing site of the Franklin Expedition and perhaps the most notable landmark of the Canadian Arctic.
Lastly, the Baffin Island Explorer via Fury and Hecla trip plots a classic route over the course of 13 days in the High Arctic that few humans have navigated.
As well as the new excursions, Peregrine still offer the old favourites, such as the 11-day Spitsbergen Explorer cruise around Svalbard archipelago and the 14-day Spitsbergen, East Greenland & Iceland voyage.
"We've also added a new ship to our fleet. The Sea Explorer ," said Ismail. "It was built in 1991 and refurbished in 2004 in Norway. She has a very proud reputation and is an elegant ship for those who enjoy a little more comfort on their adventures."
Every cabin of the Sea Explorer has views and en suite facilities, and the ship only holds 111 guests for an intimate experience in the Arctic. A fleet of Zodiac boats allows for easy shore transfers and sea-level adventures, and passengers can return to the comfort of fine dining and more amenities they could hope for.
