Pepe Saya's Amuse Bouche: April Edition.

Pepe Saya

Easter, a time for reflection, family and buttery buns. Pepe has been telling anyone who will listen to 'hashtag #buttermybuns' (complete with two finger hashtag sign a la SNL) for weeks and from the looks of all the buttery buns out there it has caught on. Butter your buns with the very best butter you can lay hands on this Easter and be sure to pick up some delicious Pepe Saya Butter (or mascarpone…decadent!) and butter up!

Just for something new and different Pepe has be flat chat this month. Masterclasses, producer's dinners, a stint involving country women, warm scones and cream at the Easter Show in Sydney, all on top of his regular duties as chief butter maker and overlord of all things dairy at Pepe Saya Central. And it isn't letting up, here's a taste of what's to come this month:

This Saturday April 19th Pepe and his delicious fermented dairy products can be found at the Northside Markets in North Sydney from 7:30am. The markets are home to some wonderful Aussie producers and artisans and it is the perfect place to load up on goodies for Easter.

Following on from the raging success of the 'Grow It Local' event at TedX Sydney 2013, Pepe has been asked to participate in the upcoming TedX Sydney on April 26th. Pepe and his team will be demonstrating how to make Ghee on the steps of the beautiful Sydney Opera House. Ghee, or clarified butter, is not only delicious, it's nutritious. The pale kids will tell you, experts will agree and now we're telling you - Ghee is great, give it a go! For more information on Pepe's delicious Ghee see the products page on pepesaya.com.au.

So no big deal but next week Pepe and the folks at Neu's Bakery in Bondi are going to try and break a world record. BOOM! On April 30th up to 1000 people, many of them Commonwealth Bank employees, will be pilling into Sydney's Darling Quarter and attempting to beat the French who currently hold the world record for 'the most people spreading spread on bread simultaneously' (hey we didn't make it up) as they slather Pepe Saya Australian Cultured Butter onto delicious German loaves from Neu's (pronounced Noy's). In fact the whole event is in order to raise awareness and money for little known Rett Syndrome which could use both our support and our fundraising. ROLL UP, ROLL UP the Salt and Pepe Roadshow is heading to Bowral on 9-10 May.
