Starting 17 May, pentahotel Shanghai General Manager Marcel van Mierlo will lead a complimentary bi-weekly pentafun bike tour for guests seeking an intimate and fun way to explore the neighbourhood.

Every other Friday, the two-hour bike ride will take guests around the scenic concession area of Changning District, with a coffee break at a café in the French Concession.  Interested guests are encouraged to book 24 hours prior to the tour, on a first-come, first-served basis.  Each tour can accommodate up to three guests and pentafun bikes will be provided.  

Pentafun bike, a free service offered to guests staying at pentahotel Shanghai, is a convenient way to explore the city’s hidden gems. 

“Biking through the neighbourhood allows guests to get up close and personal with the daily life of Shanghai, giving them great insight into the destination,” explains Mr. van Mierlo, an avid biker who cycles to work daily, even during rainy weather.  “The bike tour also gives me an excuse to do two of my favourite things – have fun with guests and get out and ride.”
