'Pedalling In Style': Cycle Breaks Launches New Luxury Cycling Tour Of North Norfolk

Cycle Breaks

Cycle Breaks, the specialist operator offering 'gently paced' cycling holidays through Suffolk, Norfolk and mainland Europe, has just launched a brand new luxury trip, visiting the 'best of the best' of North Norfolk, ahead of the summer holiday season.

'Pedalling in Style', is a 3 night, 4 day trip which showcases the area's best luxury accommodation and which, according to Andy Patton, Cycle Breaks founder, allows visitors to sample the quintessential north Norfolk experience, including  the must-do highlights of Nelson's county.  The trip costs from £493 per person.

Highlights include:  The thriving Breckland market town of Swaffham; the walled gardens at historic West Acre; Houghton Hall, a Palladian mansion built by Britain's first prime minister, Sir Robert Walpole; Burnham Market, arguably north Norfolk's most stylish Georgian village, also affectionately known as 'Chelsea-on- sea'; Burnham Thorpe, where Horatio Nelson was born in 1758; Holkham Estate and Holkham Bay, one of England's best beaches; the historic quayside of Wells-next-the-Sea; Little Walsingham, which became a place of pilgrimage second only to Canterbury following a holy vision in 1061; the medieval town of Castle Acre, with extensive 12 century castle earthworks and one of the largest and best preserved monastic sites in England, dating back to 1090.

In keeping with the company's, 'adventure by day, comfort by night' philosophy, Cycle Breaks has teamed up with two of Norfolk's most prestigious and stylish hotels; Strattons Hotel in Swaffham and the Four Star hotel, The Hoste
in Burnham Market.

"Savvy cyclists needn't scrimp on style when touring one of the UK's best-loved counties," says Andy. "This new trip offers the 'best of the best' of north Norfolk, with quintessential, award-winning accommodation being every bit as important as the landscape and historic sites en route."

Daily rides are between 14 and 28 miles. All luggage is transferred between hotels by Cycle Breaks. Price includes operational support, maps and bike hire. Electric bikes can also be provided.
