As Stanbrook Abbey celebrates the opening of its main building for overnight stays, guests will be given the opportunity to decide how much to pay for their stay, under the watchful eye of the Lord.
Following a two-year multi-million refurbishment, Stanbrook Abbey's nun cells have been turned into 52 luxurious rooms for guests to enjoy, including the decadent Cardinal Suite with a king size bed, chaise longue and its very own balcony. All traces of the previous inhabitants have not been lost as there are design touches throughout, which tip the wimple at the building's former use.
This is the first time guests will be able to stay overnight in the former nunnery's main building, which has up until now been used solely used as a wedding and events venue.
Prices for an overnight stay including breakfast start from £135 per room, however guests booking to stay from Thursday 26th to Sunday 28th March and Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th April will be given the chance to decide for themselves, with collection bags left in their rooms for them to leave what they think their stay was worth. However, a word of warning: with the property's religious heritage, the Lord himself will most certainly be watching.
Offer applies to rooms only and one night per booking. All additional nights, as well as food and beverage will be charged at normal rates.
