Bedarra has long been held as hedonists dream come true, a private paradise where guests can do as they wish when they wish including all but disappearing into the seclusion and tranquil indulgence the island provides and the new Pavilions at Bedarra are set to take pleasure to sybarite level.
The two beautiful and graceful structures fit seamlessly into the landscape with privacy and decadence blended to perfection. The design and location of the Pavilions strikes the perfect balance between a private beach house retreat while providing guests with easy access to the services and facilities of Bedarra's exceptional resort - the Pavilions are perched on the cliff tops overlooking Wedgerock Bay.
The sweeping decks of these deluxe beachside retreats allow guests to enjoy captivating views ever changing as the arc of the sun works its magic on the colour of the sea and dapples light and shade on the majestic granite forms that protect Bedarras bays.
Floor to ceiling glass allows for views to be enjoyed from every room and inside, simplicity of design and sleek interiors lend the Pavilions a subtle sexy ambience. The overall style is elegant with in a touch of modernity that plays counterpoint to the ever-present sense of the Islands ancient spirit.
The appointments are premium quality, sensual and calming with every need for comfort lushly attended to.
Designed by architects Pike Withers, the group responsible for Bedarras chic transformation in last years $8 million refurbishment, the Pavilions furnishings and appointments continue Bedarras theme of understated luxury and soothing colour schemes.
Each Pavilion has a separate sleeping and living area connected by an expansive timber decking. Glass doors leading on to the decking from all sides lends a free flow to the design providing for an integrated indoor and outdoor living area.
It is on the deck that a private plunge pool embraces glorious ocean views and appears to meet the blue of the Coral Sea. Large and comfortable sun lounges and a daybed also grace the decks.
The interior of the Pavilions has been created in a style that appeals to and appeases every sense. The sleeping area has a king-sized bed, the living area is large with banquette seating, comfortable chairs and a bar.
Bathrooms are equally indulgent, stocked with Bedarras signature oils and pampering products. An oversized bath, a separate shower with plate-sized overhead fitting and twin vanities are part of the design and even here guests can enjoy spectacular views.
Entertainment facilities in the Pavilions include a sound system wired throughout and a large screen TV and video. A computer with internet facilities is also provided.
At $1,400 per person per night twin share, the Pavilion tariff includes full breakfast, lunch and dinner with a change of menu daily, access to Bedarra's legendary Open Bar, return launch transfer to and from Dunk Island and many island activities.
