Victoria's hotels came together on Monday 26 May to attend the 2014 TAA State Awards for Excellence gala dinner. This prestigious event saw close to 500 hoteliers join hospitality industry leaders for an evening that celebrates outstanding achievements within the industry.

Park Hyatt Melbourne was announced as the winner of the much anticipated and highly respected Deluxe Accommodation Hotel of the Year award. Brett Sweetman, the hotel manager accepted the award on behalf of the team and later said "We are thrilled to be the winner of this prestigious award for the second time in just three years. It is a testament to our talented and dedicated team who work tirelessly to ensure that the experience of our guests is exceptional and unparalleled."

Radii Restaurant & Bar, the stunning Park Hyatt Melbourne restaurant was also named a top finalist in the Deluxe Restaurant of the Year category and employee Christian Sujer was named as a finalist in the category of Front Office Employee of the Year.

The award winners were decided upon after a mystery shopper visited all facets of the finalist hotels in the Deluxe Accommodation Hotel of the Year category.
