Calling all stylish lovers of high tea. On September 8, 2013, High Fashion and High Tea at Park Hyatt Melbourne takes the traditional high tea to a new level of sophistication.
As well as an exclusive menu from executive chef Dean Clouston, author of the Fashionista's Guide to Shopping in Melbourne, Emily Power, will host a beautiful European salon-style fashion show featuring top Australian designers Aurelio Costarella and Carl Kapp.
Guests will be treated to luxury makeovers from Napoleon Perdis and Australian Hairdresser of the Year 2013, Frank Apostolopoulos from Biba. Each guest will also receive a special gift and there will be luxurious door prizes on offer. This is truly a magnificent lineup that is not to be missed.
Aurelio Costarella is one of Australia's most lauded and exciting designers. He is known for his utterly feminine designs that evoke the feeling of pure glamour. Costarella is adored by celebrities, such as US singer Kelly Rowland, and his gowns can often be found on red carpets for the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes. Eliza Baker, a charming boutique in East Prahran, co-owned by Aurelio Costarella is the only destination in Melbourne or Sydney to offer his entire collection.
Carl Kapp is a classic South African-born designer who has made a name for himself as a cult favourite among Australia's super stylish. Having previously designed for fashion houses Hermès and Kenzo, Kapp returned to Australia in 2006 and launched his signature line of uber-chic womenswear. Fans of Kapp include actresses Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman and Rose Byrne.
