Park City, Utah – Two Mountain Resorts and Two Distilleries

Visit Park City

Just 35 minutes from Utah's Salt Lake City international airport, the ski and mountain town of Park City www.visitparkcity.com is home to two world class mountain resorts and two whiskey distilleries.

After a winter of continous snowfall, Park City is enjoying spring skiing conditions and long sunny days as the season's end approaches. Both Park City Mountain and Deer Valley have seen a procession of happy visitors and locals alike as the famous Utah powder snow just kept on coming.

When the skilifts close on the final day of ski season, it will be time for local business to catch a breath and prepare for the glorious summer season, which will kick off at the end of May. Summer in Park City means hot, sunny days and cool evenings, with plenty to do for all activity levels during the day, and over 100 restaurants and bars to enjoy in the evening.

Park City came into being in the 19th century when silver was found and continued to be mined until well into the 20th century. Echoes of the past can be seen in the architecture of Park City's Historic Main Street area and modern additions too, including the town's two whiskey distilleries – High West and Alpine Distilling.

Both distilleries have their unique distinctions – for instance, in the winter. The High West is the world's only 'ski to the door' whiskey ditillery and salloon (as far as is known). And who would believe that Alpine Distilling has a close connection with the Isle of Man TT Races! Owner and founder Rob Sergent, a keen motor cyclist (and distiller), as Alpine Distilling sponsors Michael Dunlop. Michael is a famous and highly succesful Isle of Man TT rider from N. Ireland and the latest rider from the Dunlop family dynasty.

Both Alpine and High West distill high quality spirits, including gin and vodka as wll as whiskey and both have restaurants in the Historic District of Park City,
