With the current ski season at its height and with another two months to go before the ski lifts stop turning, planning is well under way for winter 2015/16 in Park City www.visitparkcity.com Next season will arguably be the most important in the history of Park City as a ski destination with the linking, by a new gondola, of Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort.
The link, to be called the 'Interconnect Gondola' will create the biggest lift linked ski area in the USA, with more than 7,300 acres of terrain for skiers and boarders to enjoy. Subject to the planning approval process, which is already under way, work will commence after the end of the current ski season, with a completion date of December 2015. The 'Interconnect Gondola' will be the centrepiece of $50 million of improvements planned for 2015 in the two resorts by owners Vail Resorts.
