Over 1,000 Safari Fanatics Agree; Tanzania Is The Best Safari Country Of Africa

SafariBookings

An extensive study of 3,005 reviews by more than a thousand safari travelers and industry experts revealed that Tanzania is the best safari destination in Africa.

The Netherlands, June 18, 2013: SafariBookings.com, an online marketplace for African safari tours, released the results of the largest survey of its kind. They spent the last two years finding safari travelers and invited them to write a review about their experiences. This resulted in more than 2,300 "user reviews" that rated the eight major safari countries and their wildlife parks. The reviews included ratings for wildlife, scenic beauty, wilderness vibe and birdlife.

To compliment these 'user reviews' notable guidebook writers, working for publishers such as Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, Fodor's, Bradt and Footprint, teamed up in the SafariBookings Expert Panel and wrote an additional 756 expert reviews.

After analyzing the results, Tanzania came out as the clear winner. It received 4.8 out of 5 stars, beating its runner-up Botswana by about a tenth of a point. Rounding out the top five were Kenya, Zambia, and South Africa.

When looking at the reviews of guidebook writers Tim Bewer, Lizzie Williams, Philip Briggs, and Mary Fitzpatrick, it can be concluded they all agree that Tanzania is an excellent safari destination. Unfenced parks, dirt roads, and plains that stretch on endlessly assure that you'll experience the African bush as you imagined it. Superb wildlife viewing in a politically stable and safe country makes even those new to safari excursions feel secure in their adventures. Visitors will have the potential to view the annual great migration where 2.5 million wildebeest and zebra migrate from Seregenti National Park in Tanzania to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.

Should all this wildlife viewing leave you tired and ready to simply relax, the exotic beaches on Zanzibar Island are sure to accommodate this need. Or, if you desire even more exploration - a climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro is certain to provide a view unlike any other. The unique climate patterns make this Africa country a decent choice at various times throughout the year, but June to October proves ideal.
