BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA - Outrigger Enterprises Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Brisbane based public relations agency, Parkin PR, as its agency of record representing Outrigger Resorts across Australia and New Zealand effective March 1, 2015.

Parkin PR Director Donna Parkin has been the public relations consultant for the group's two Fiji properties, Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Castaway Island Fiji, for the past five years. She will continue in this role as she expands her representation within the Australia and New Zealand markets of Outrigger Resorts growing global portfolio, which currently includes properties in Hawaii, Australia, Thailand, Mauritius, Guam and its resort in the Maldives scheduled to open later this year.

Mark Simmons, Outrigger Vice President, Sales& Marketing, Asia Pacific, welcomed Donna to her expanded role within the group.

"Donna has done excellent work in promoting our Fijian interests and Outrigger looks forward to her making a broader contribution across all our properties," he said.

"Australia and New Zealand are of enormous importance to Outrigger as a source of inbound tourism to Hawaii, Fiji, Thailand and other markets and also as a potential investment destination for Outrigger Resorts so it's important that we continue to build a strong brand profile in these markets," said Simmons.

She will have a dual reporting line to Mark Simmons based in Phuket and Outrigger Enterprises Group Director of PR, Nancy Daniels based at the company's corporate office in Honolulu, Hawaii.
