Seeking the thrill of a moonlight kayak ride of the Hudson River? Yearning for a new place to ride your mountain bike? Looking forward to a weekend of camping under the stars? The Westchester County Office of Tourism has produced a brand new publication, Outdoor Adventure, The Westchester Way brochure, to provide visitors and residents alike with comprehensive information on outdoor recreation in this part of southeastern New York State.
The full-color brochure, produced by the Westchester County Office of Tourism, contains detailed information on recreational opportunities on land and on the water, such as kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, fishing, bicycling, bird watching, camping, cross-country skiing, hiking, golfing, and horseback riding. The piece, printed on heavy stock, can be opened to full poster size and displayed.
Listings are given for each location offering a form of outdoor recreation. Information includes address, phone number, website address, fees as appropriate, and a description. A map of Westchester County is provided to provide the general location of parks and related tourism sites.
Additionally, information is provided on public transportation options in Westchester. The brochure was partly funded by the Westchester County Smart Commute program.
The Outdoor Adventure, The Westchester Way brochure is available to the public free of charge, and can be requested by calling the Westchester County Office of Tourism at (800) 833-9282 or (914) 995-8500, or by visiting the Tourism website at www.westchestertourism.com.
