Secreted away in the depths of the Devonshire countryside, this secluded spot set in six acres of wooded grounds means you can walk, cycle, ramble and angle on the doorsteps.  

Just three miles away is the charming City of Exeter with a great range of independent shops, restaurants and attractions including the award winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum.  A visit to the impressive Cathedral is a must as is a trip to the picturesque quay, home to an array of antique shops and waterside cafes. 

Kayak to the Turf Locks public house or traverse the high wires at Go-Ape just a few minutes away on Haldon Hill.  Zip down wires, hire a bike or relax on the miles of woodland walks nearby.

The lodge itself has been finished to an exceptionally high standard with a large, open-plan living, dining and kitchen space that opens onto the sweeping veranda. 

Toast yourself in front of the large log-burning stove or relax on the L-shaped sofa and watch your favourite programme or films on the 52” flatscreen TV, which comes with Freeview and DVD player.  There’s even an Xbox 360 on request. 

As well as a good-size dining table for four, the lodge has a modern oak kitchen with granite worktops, an electric oven with grill, induction hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.  In addition to a full range of utensils and accessories including a microwave, kettle, toaster and cafetiere, the lodge even offers a coffee machine on request.

The two bedrooms are both large and light.  Overlooking the lake the master bedroom offers a touch of indulgence with a king-size four-poster bed draped in lacy floral fabric, flanked by elegant French style side-drawers and lamps.  In addition to an attractive dressing table with mirror and an integrated wardrobe this pretty room has a chic en-suite bathroom where you can soak in style in the elegant freestanding roll top bath.

The spacious second bedroom overlooks woodland and is furnished with comfy twin beds.  It too has an integrated wardrobe, a chest of drawers, mirror, dressing table and a bedside cabinet complete with lamp.  Its en-suite comes with a walk-in shower cubicle, wash basin, WC, mirror and heated towel rail.
