All eyes are now on Greece in 2004 as the Athens Olympic Games rev up, but theres more hot sporting activity going on in the region. Vacationers are finding it hard to resist the temptation of the Greek Isles Contikis Mykonos Resort a new Greek island resort devoted exclusively to 18- to 35-year-olds. Opening May 15, the Contiki Mykonos Resort features 150 newly renovated rooms, Blue a state-of-the-art nightclub, gymnasium, Internet caf, tennis courts, beach bar and water sports center. Guests can also make and imbibe the hottest and coolest drinks in Greece with the Cocktail Mixology Course.

For visitors looking for history and ancient culture, in addition to immersing themselves in nightlife and recreation, Contiki offers a half-day excursion to the nearby island of Delos, home to many archeological sites in the Mediterranean, rich with ancient ruins of temples, markets and theater.

The new resort is situated on the famous Kalafatis Bay in a European four-star, Greek Category A hotel. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag by the European Union for meeting its standards for cleanliness, safety and pollution and is conveniently located nearby the islands city center and airport.

Contiki chose Mykonos in Greece for its resort location because of the islands rich culture, beautiful locale and historical significance, said Frank Marini, president, Contiki. Its also one of the popular spots in the Mediterranean and our guests will come here from all over the world to have the time of their lives on one of the best beaches in the region.
