The Orvis Virtual Mayfly Festival launched on Saturday 16th May running until Sunday 31st May 2020, and aims to celebrate this special time of year for the fly fishing community, as well as introduce new people to the sport and showcase its benefits. The online festival will be hosted on the Orvis UK Facebook and Instagram pages and will feature some well-known names.

Angling is one of the first activities/sports to resume from last Wednesday in the UK and fly fishing has long been known to benefit mental wellbeing, as well as appealing to people of all ages. Orvis UK, world-famous fly fishing and outdoor lifestyle brand, recently commissioned a survey in which over 60% of surveyed people would like to spend more time in the countryside or take up more outdoor activities, as a result of the current lockdown situation in the UK. The festival aims to remove the barriers from your route into fly fishing.

The online festival will be hosted on the @OrvisUK Facebook and Instagram pages featuring special guests via live Q&A's, virtual Learn How to Fly Fish 101 sessions, Mayfly themed competitions for all ages and fantastic fly fishing footage.
