Orlando Treats Visitors To More Halloween Theme Park Events Than Any Other City in the Country

ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando celebrates Halloween from every end of the spectrum with nationally recognized events at some of the world's most popular theme parks. Whether it involves horrifying haunted houses or costume parties with friendly characters, Orlando's theme parks bring Halloween to a whole new level with more than 80 individual events leading up to October 31.

Theme Parks

Brick-or-Treat at LEGOLAND Florida                                                                                             Oct. 4-26, Saturdays and Sundays
Guests will invade LEGOLAND Florida for its third annual Brick-or-Treat this Halloween. The kid-friendly, haunted adventure includes trick-or-treating along the brick-or-treat trail, super brick building activities, the largest LEGO Jack-O-Lantern in the world, Halloween entertainment and an all-kids costume contest with prizes featuring the LEGO Movie's own Emmett. The scary adventures also include a LEGO Ghost Build, Lego Scary Scavenger Hunt in Miniland, dance parties and photo opportunities.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Resort                                       Sept. 1 - Oct. 31, Select Nights
After regular park hours, guests will be invited to dress up in their favorite costumes and collect 
candy throughout Magic Kingdom. Attendees will see all of the boo-tiful ways that the park has been transformed into the happy haunted hallows. New this year is the Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball dance party in Tomorrowland featuring Monsters, Inc. characters. The Halloween party also includes Disney characters dressed up in their favorite costumes, a Villains Dance Mix and Mingle, Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade, fireworks and much more.

SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular at SeaWorld                                                                      Orlando Weekends in October
SeaWorld offers children a safe and exciting place to trick-or-treat. Fun-loving sea witches and over 35 other fanciful sea creatures greet, mingle, and play with guests as they make their way through the event. At Penelope's Party Zone, guests can enjoy crafts, music, games and colorful characters. SeaWorld Orlando will also offer a new, immersive brunch experience - Dine with Shamu Halloween Spooktacular Brunch.


Halloween Horror Nights 24 at Universal Orlando Resort                                                           Sept. 19- Nov. 1, Select Nights
Universal Orlando Resort redefines Halloween entertainment with movie-quality haunted houses and "scare zones" that tap into humans' deepest fears. On 28 select nights, guests will explore eight blood curdling haunted houses, navigate multiple spine-chilling street experiences with terrifying "scareactors," enjoy two outrageous live shows and experience many of Universal Studios Florida's most exciting rides and attractions. New horrifying experiences for 2014 include the largest maze in the history of Halloween Horror Nights inspired by the television series, "The Walking Dead," plus other terrifying experiences based on some of the biggest names in horror and pop culture.

Events Across Central Florida

• Howl-O-Scream transforms Busch Gardens Tampa Bay into a nightmare of paranormal terror. This year's "cursed" theme will include a new haunted house, scare zones, thrilling shows, and bone-chilling roller coasters (Sept. 26 - Nov. 1, select nights).

• Zoo Boo Bash at the Central Florida Zoo is a favorite for young and old alike with a haunted hayride, pumpkin patch, trick-or-treat stations, and face painting (Oct. 18-19 and 25-26).

• A Petrified Forest, Altamonte Spring's haunted scare trail, features scare rooms, live music, food, laser tag, and a new lazer maze (Oct. 3 - Nov. 1, select nights).

• Spooky Empire is the largest horror convention in the nation with celebrity guests, live bands, tattoo artists, seminars, vendors, zombie walk and freak show film festival (Oct. 24-26).

• Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street comes to life on the Garden Theatre stage. This suspenseful, heart-pounding masterpiece tells the infamous tale of revenge by an unjustly exiled barber in 19th century London (Sept. 12- Oct. 5).
