Orange County Heats up with Summer Events and Activities

As the weather gets warmer, visitors to Orange County will find plenty of events and activities this summer. The area offers variety of evening concerts, special art exhibits, unique cultural showings, festivals and sporting events and exhibitions.

"Summer is the ideal time to visit Orange County, whether it is a family excursion or a fun, weekend getaway," said Ann Gallaugher, director of tourism development for the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau. "Orange County is a great drive destination for people throughout the west. In addition to beautiful beaches and a multitude of outdoor activities, Orange County offers fantastic summer activities and thrilling new attractions."

?Experience "720 degrees of Attitude" on Knott's Berry Farm's newest thrill ride, RipTide. ARTS & CULTURE The Bowers Museum presents "Bridges to Understanding: Portraits by Phil Borges," a moving exhibit featuring more than 39 black and white images of people in remote and ancient villages and two video presentations featuring the people and children of rural global communities threatened by Westernization. SPORTS & RECREATION The Anaheim Angels recently announced that their home field stadium will be known as Angel Stadium of Anaheim (or "The Big A" as locals refer to it) for the 2004 season and unveiled a new look that includes a new a $6.5 million upgrade to the outfield scoreboards.
