The UK's largest music competition for unsigned musicians, Open Mic, has announced its star prize for the winner of the 2019 contest. In addition to the prize package of recording studio time for their album and a video of the best single and extensive media promotion, the over 21 winner will receive a 7 day holiday to the Great Lakes USA. This region of Midwest America consists of Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin and is synonymous with musical icons from Motown to Madonna to Buddy Guy, to Bob Dylan and Prince.
The holiday prize, for two people, includes flights, accommodation, car hire and tickets to some of the key attractions. It will be presented to the winner at the Grand Final on Sunday 20 January 2019 at Indigo at the 02, London.

Open Mic is an annual UK music competition attracting entries from more than 10,000 people, from singers and singer/songwriters to rappers and vocal groups. All genres are welcome at these music competitions, and acts can perform covers or their original songs.
