Known for their unique collaborations that marry the world of fashion and luxury travel, One&Only has once again aligned their luxury resort brand with the exclusive fashion houses of Halston and French shoe designer Maloles Antignac to create a limited edition silk chiffon dress and sandal for One&Only Resort boutiques in the Maldives, Los Cabos and Mauritius on-sale in May 2011.

“These items are what the modern woman wants to wear on vacation,” says Preston Schroeder, Retail Director for One&Only Resorts. “She wants to be comfortable yet stylish and chic. Our Halston and Maloles exclusives are just that. I chose pink as the color for both items because it is a classic – perfect for a resort vacation. You can wear the dress and sandals in ten years time and still feel just as good as when you wear either of them today.”

As the first resort collaboration for Marios Schwab since joining Halston as the Creative Director in 2009, Schwab found inspiration for his dusty pink Halston silk chiffon dress by imagining a sandy beach holiday at One&Only. The exclusive One&Only Halston silk chiffon dress will retail for EUR$1,500.

“I wanted to create something that you could wear during a hot summer night,” says Schwab of the dress re-created in an exclusive dusty pink that will only be sold at One&Only. “I love blush tones. They always make you look very pretty, without being a pastel. One&Only Resorts are a luxurious must do and this Halston dress in dusty pink is a luxurious must have for any summer vacation.”

In addition to Halston, One&Only has also partnered with French designer Maloles Antignac, celebrated for her signature ballet flats, to create a limited edition line of her Isabella sandal exclusively for One&Only Resorts in a vibrant pink and gold braided leather. The One&Only Isabella, priced at EUR$220, will be sold at One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives, One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico and One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius.

Halston and Maloles will join other designer names such as Christian Louboutin, Anya Hindmarch and Matthew Williamson who have created exclusive designs for One&Only, as well as Alice Temperley, who designed a tipi for One&Only Le Saint Géran’s spectacular peninsula setting in Mauritius.
