Alan Leibman, President/Managing Director of Kerzner International which through its subsidiaries, is a leading international developer and operator of destination resorts, casinos and luxury hotels, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Hehir as General Manager of One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives. An accomplished hotel executive in the region, Hehir was most recently the General Manager of the award-winning Anantara Phuket Villas in Thailand. He will be based in the Maldives and will report directly to Mr. Leibman.

Mark originally joined Anantara as General Manager at Seminyak Resort and Spa in Bali in 2007. He then moved on to Anantara's Si Kao Resort and Spa where he oversaw the rebranding and opening of the resort. Prior to joining Anantara, Mark worked as the Area General Manager for Huvafen Fushi by Per Aquum in the Maldives. He had previously been with Maldives Hilton Rangali (now Conrad Maldives) as part of the opening team.

An Australian native, Hehir has a background in the kitchen, having received his certificate in Culinary and working as Head Chef at the Hotel Como Melbourne. He then spent two years at The Dorchester Hotel and a year at The Gosforth Park Hotel, both in London. Hehir the returned to Australia at the Crown Casino and Towers before spending eight years in Asia and the Indian Ocean.
