KENNEBUNKPORT, ME  – A local landmark and beloved fixture on Dock Square, the Kennebunkport Inn opens Kennebunkport's first classic steakhouse, One Dock Prime, on June 4. Set in the chic, nautically inspired atmosphere of the inn's dining room, the new restaurant showcases a completely overhauled menu focusing on traditional steakhouse fare.

With only the highest quality 60-day aged prime Brandt beef, meat-lovers will rejoice in rich, flavorful 18 oz. T-bone and 24 oz. Porterhouse steaks accented by sauces such as béarnaise, red wine bordelaise and au poivre. Classic side dishes like cream of spinach, baked potatoes, hand cut sea salt fries, and sautéed Brussels sprouts round out the meal.

True to Kennebunkport's colorful history as a shipbuilding and fishing village, the menu also features a variety of seafood dishes including blue fin tuna, lazy lobster, and oven baked mussels with shallots, garlic, butter, parsley and white wine. Desserts such as chocolate molten lava cake and home-made artisan ice creams are a sweet way to end the evening.

Throughout the summer months, guests can dine on the patio overlooking downtown Dock Square. Guests can also enjoy pre- or post-dinner cocktails on the inn's sundeck, which has an outdoor fireplace and cozy deck chaises overlooking the Kennebunk River. Specialty cocktails include Fun in the Sun with gin, pineapple, basil, lemon and soda, Summer Night with grapefruit vodka, citrus, sugar and cranberry; and Out to Sea with bourbon, Benedictine and lemon.

One Dock Prime has a chic, nautically inspired atmosphere that seamlessly blends the salty, sea captain sensibility so characteristic of Southern Maine with a fresh color palette of navy and crisp white, stylishly accented by polished nickel fixtures and modern artwork. Low tables with navy leather banquettes, wingback chairs and low barrel back chairs invite guests to linger, as does the lively bar, which features a 16-foot LED back-lit image of lobster boats on the Kennebunkport harbor by local photographer Chris Becker.

One Dock Prime opens June 4. Located at One Dock Square, Kennebunkport, ME 04046, the restaurant will be open from 5:30-9:00 pm Monday-Saturday and from 4:00-8:00 on Sundays. Happy hour runs from 4:00-5:00 pm Monday-Saturday with discounted food and beverage options and live music is available on weekends.
