No trip to China would be complete without seeing the country's furry mascot – the Giant Panda, and On The Go Tours has just launched a brand new tour which encompasses the highlights of China with a visit to the world-famous Chengdu Panda Breeding & Research Centre.

Located just outside of Chengdu, the centre was originally founded in 1993 and today comprises of a team of researchers and experts who work to ensure the survival of these endangered animals through breeding, research and education. Spread over 92 acres the centre has been designed to replicate the natural habitat and diet of the species with clumps of bamboo, vibrant flowers, and a stunning hill scene. More than 20 species of rare animals, including lesser pandas, white storks and black-necked cranes, can also be spotted living within the centres verdant grounds. A visit to the Panda nursery allows for an up close view of the centre's infant population, or for an extra fee visitors can cuddle with one of the giant creatures and snap a photo or two.
